Kai Iwi to Ototoka Beach WalkSaturday 11th January
Difficulty Level: Easy/Mod
Meeting Location: Kai Iwi Beach Car park (the one behind the toilet block, closest to the beach) or at the COI car park if getting transport with us out
Time: 2pm at Kai Iwi or 1.30pm at COI
Cost:$2 (if getting transport)

The weather got the better of us last time so we're trying again for this Beach walk that now makes up the last of the walk's for our New Year's Walks Programme, and ending it with the BBQ!
This walk follows the coast from Kai Iwi Beach up to Ototoka Beach, there is one stream crossing between the beaches. While at Ototoka we'll have afternoon tea and an optional walk up it the little waterfall and viewpoint before returning back along the beach to Kai Iwi. To be followed with the shared BBQ dinner after we get back to Kai Iwi Beach. This walk is 13.5km long and will take approximately 3hrs to complete

SHORTER WALK OPTION: For a shorter walk, join us only up to the Okehu Stream before returning (self-guided) to Kai Iwi, this will be a 1hr walk.

We meet at the car park for Church on Ingestre, which is on the Cnr Ingestre & Campbell Streets, let us know if you need a ride to the car park. We can also pick up en route. The toilet at COI may not always be available.
