Kahaani: Dilli Ki is a two-day cultural festival that celebrates the history, heritage, and everyday life of Delhi. Set at the historic Travancore Palace, the festival brings together music, food, craft, conversations, and exhibitions to showcase the many identities that make up the capital.
Curated by Indophile, the programme features live performances by Indian Ocean, Sonam Kalra, and Deveshi Sahgal, along with kathak, dastangoi, street theatre, and poetry inspired by Delhi’s cultural traditions.
The festival’s food programme traces the evolution of Delhi’s cuisine, from Mughal, Kayastha, and Baniya cooking to the city’s iconic street food, curated by food historian Anoothi Vishal. An immersive installation inspired by Khari Baoli, Old Delhi’s historic spice market, presented by Edible Archives, adds a sensory dimension to the culinary experience.
In addition, Kahaani: Dilli Ki includes conversations with historians, writers, architects, and cultural practitioners, archival photography exhibitions, and a crafts bazaar featuring artisans from Delhi and across India. Together, these elements offer a comprehensive look at Delhi’s layered cultural legacy.
