Every Dog Owner should take a K9 First Aid Course, you never know when you may need these skills & your dog will be thankful you have the training if they ever find them in a first aid emergency. Knowing what to do does not replace a visit to the vet, but allows you to assess the situation more accurately and calmly. Early intervention can mean the difference between life and death, and does alleviate the some of the suffering your dog is experiencing when they find themselves in distress.
Canine Health Canada's course is recognized for continuing education with IAABC. It is also developed by an advisory board that includes veterinarians and other K9 professionals. The programs content is continuously being monitored and updated as necessary when research findings dictate a change in practices. K9 Professionals who are certified, and staff certified, may receive discounts on their insurance policies as well. Check with your individuals insurance companies.
The Training Day consists of a combination of lecture, activities and hands on practice of skills. We utilize "dummy dogs" for some scenarios, as well as LIVE dogs that you are confident in the skills you are learning.
Each participant will go home with a 130+ page manual to reference back to whenever needed, a wallet CPR/First Aider Card, Wallet Vitals Card & Frameable Certificate.
