Leave the small talk behind and come share your te reo Māori journey with others travelling in the same waka. This gathering is a gently structured, welcoming space for learners and speakers of te reo Māori to kōrero openly about the moments of doubt and courage, the small wins, the setbacks, and the hopes you carry forward. We’ll offer thoughtful prompts and a supportive container; you bring an open mind, a curious heart, and your lived experience.
Conversations are designed to feel safe, human, and connective, whether whether you’re just beginning, finding your confidence, or reclaiming te reo in your own way. This event is about being seen and heard without pressure. He waka eke noa - we’re all in this together.
There will also be an opportunity to sit in the red chair with the Humans of Christchurch team and share your journey more publicly through a conversation and photo. Come as you are. Your story belongs here.
