Julablót or Yule Blót honors the onset of the Norse Yule celebrations, which last for 12 nights. This Yule, we will gather in the warmth of kindred to observe Mother's Night, the first night of the 12 days of the Yule season. We will pay homage to our beloved female ancestors as well as the Norse Goddesses Frigg and Freya. We will honor Odin, the Yule Father, for his gifts in our lives.Come in your finest Yule finery, whether it is Heathen/Norse garb or your favorite dress. We will have a Best Dressed costume with prizes.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM and the blót will begin promptly at 7:00 PM and will be followed by a sumbel.
The Fellowship of Yggdrasil blóts are 21 and over only. Mead and wine are traditionally used in blóts. Attendees are welcome to bring either, or a non-alchoholic beverage to consume during the blót and sumbel. Those who do not bring their own drinks will provided bottle water. Hard liquor is NOT allowed and anyone who brings hard liquor to a blót will be asked to leave. Please bring a drinking vessel if you have one and a drink. No late entry.
