P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Justin Gregg to celebrate and discuss his new book, Humanish: a playful deep dive into anthropomorphism (our peculiar tendency to humanize the nonhuman) that will resonate with anyone who has thrown a birthday party for their dog.

Justin will be joined in conversation by Adam Aleksic, author of Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Justin will also sign copies ofhis book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Justin Gregg is a Senior Research Associate with the Dolphin Communication Project and an Adjunct Professor at St. Francis Xavier University, where he lectures on animal behavior and cognition. He is author of the bestselling book If Nietzsche Were a Narwhal. Originally from Vermont, Gregg studied the echolocation abilities of wild dolphins in Japan and The Bahamas. He currently lives in rural Nova Scotia, where he writes about science and contemplates the inner lives of the crows that live near his home.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR

Adam Aleksic is a linguist and influencer making videos as the "Etymology Nerd" to an audience of over three million. He has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and is the NYT bestselling author of Algospeak: How Social Media is Transforming the Future of Language.
