Welcome to Justice Starts Here: Level's 20th Anniversary Celebration!
Come join us at the EAST ROOM (68 Claremont St) for a night filled with fun, music, learning, and celebration as we mark this special milestone. Get ready to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about justice and disrupting the status quo. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to learn, network, and have a great time. Whether you're a long-time supporter or new to our cause, we can't wait to celebrate with you.
Levelβs Justice Starts Here event is an interactive, educational event that equips in-person attendees to disrupt prejudice, create a more equitable and just society, and imagine a more inclusive future together. The event focuses on the lived realities of Indigenous and Black communities and other equity-deserving groups; practical allyship tools grounded in humility, empathy, and cultural safety; and actionable tools to advance environmental justice.
The event opens with teachings, a smudging ceremony, and a cultural performance by Kim Wheatley (Anishinaabe Traditional Grandmother and Knowledge Keeper). Participants are supported with reflections that move from passive to active reconciliation. Learning circles throughout the event dive into Indigenous law, systems and policy change, equity for Black youth, and environmental justice, inviting dialogue on building a more inclusive future.
See you there!
