About this Event
The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is holding a New Grantee Orientation for the OVW Justice for Families (JFF) Program with the assistance of the Center for Justice Innovation (the Center).
The orientation will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. (PT) to Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. (MT) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The orientation will include essential information from the Department of Justice on managing the JFF grant. The orientation will also feature workshops and presentations from the Center for Justice Innovation, the technical assistance (TA) provider for the Justice for Families Program, as well as other national partners. These sessions are designed to aid grantees in refining their project goals and provide them with the tools and support they need to meet them.
The JFF Program seeks to increase the safety of victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, as well as hold offenders accountable. It encourages coordination among the various systems that victims and offenders interact with, including courts, supervised visitation centers, and civil legal service providers. A primary component of the program involves collaboration with the court and enhancing a coordinated community response to domestic violence.
Please note: all travel expenses will be paid for out of your jurisdiction's grant; not by the Center for Justice Innovation. Please inquire with your grant manager/fiscal team for information regarding reimbursement.
In order to attend the New Grantee Orientation, all team members must click the "reserve a spot" button on the right-hand side of the registration page and individually complete the online form by Tuesday, October 15th.
OVW has approved this event, so you may proceed to make travel arrangements.
