About this Event
Celebrate with the at Georgetown University!
Join us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the JUPS major at Georgetown University this fall on October 25, 2024. This milestone event will feature a panel of alumni and professors who will reflect on the impacts of the JUPS program on their lives through scholarship, teaching, action, and practice.
The event will also honor JUPS founder, Professor Mark Lance, as he transitions into emeritus status and retirement, sharing his reflections on three decades of engagement with JUPS and his lifelong dedication as a peace scholar, activist, and organizer. We will also announce the inaugural Founders Award, a $2,000 annual award to recognize outstanding contributions in the field.
Celebrate with us (in-person) and reflect on the transformative power of peace and justice education!
