About this Event
Join Brittany Gadzosa, Special Olympics Swim Coach, and Kelly Edwards, coach, for a history of the Special Olympics Movement as told through the Calgary Swim Team and the positive impacts it has had on athletes, coaches, and the community. The presentation will include specific stories from both coaches and athletes and how the team has remained strong for over 20 years.
Presented in Partnership with Chinook Country Historical Society, a Chapter of the Historical Society of Alberta. CCHS is dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of Canadian and Alberta history for people of all ages. Organized in 1958 and incorporated in 1993, CCHS covers the region from Olds to Nanton and from the BC border to the Saskatchewan border.
