Come and join us for a four-session course that will give you a better overall understanding and insight of Judo. A team of experienced female instructors will guide you at a pace suited to you personally.
This is a 4-week discovery journey into Judo. It is for beginner Women only.
Monday's, from 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm.

Day 2: Monday, 10 November 2025
Day 3: Monday, 17 November 2025
Day 4: Monday, 24 November 2025
The course is structured around three key components:
1. Fundamentals & Safety (Breakfalls and Movement Basics)
Introduce dojo etiquette, posture, and safe mat movement.
Teach ukemi (breakfalls) – backwards, side, and forward rolls at a simple, progressive level.
Focus on body awareness, balance, and protecting oneself in a fall.
πŸ‘‰This builds confidence and reduces fear of injury.
2. Core Judo Skills (Throws & Holds)
Teach 1–2 simple, effective throws (e.g., O-goshi / hip throw and De-ashi-barai / foot sweep).
Introduce osaekomi (pins/hold-downs) such as Kesa-gatame (scarf hold).
Practice in pairs with plenty of guided, cooperative drilling.
πŸ‘‰ Gives a first taste of both standing and ground techniques.
3. Application & Empowerment (Randori Play & Self-Defense Elements)
Light, playful randori-style games to apply skills in a safe, controlled way.
Relate techniques to practical self-defense (e.g., using hip throw as a response to being grabbed).
Finish with a cool-down, reflection, and Q&A about pathways to regular training.
πŸ‘‰ Reinforces learning, highlights empowerment, and keeps the session fun.
