You don't need a date for Valentine's Day weekend - Highwire Improv has you covered. Join us for a special event focused on singles featuring snacks, an improv workshop and a hilarious show from some of Baltimore's funniest people. We have everything to make this night memorable right in our cozy theatre space.
We start at 6 p.m. with drinks and snacks from local Highlandtown businesses. An introduction to improv workshop follows led by two of our trained instructors. You will learn the basics of improv comedy and make new friends in a safe, supportive environment.
After you show off your comedy skills, take a seat in our showroom and watch Mouth Stuff, one of Baltimore's longest-running improv ensembles turn stories into hilarious comedy. A regular at regional improv festivals, Mouth Stuff brings high-energy shenanigans to the stage.

What is an improv show, exactly?
Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!
A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!
About the Venue:
The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
