Michelle Barrows, Head of Veterinary Services & Conservation Medicine at Bristol Zoological Society, shares her vast experience working with exotic animals, from preventative everyday checkups to delivering emergency response and trauma care.Bristol Zoological Society has long been a centre for excellence for zoological veterinary medicine, developing new treatments, procedures and tools for treating a range of different animal species, from giraffes, gorillas and okapi, to penguins, iguanas and stick insects.
Michelle’s talk will provide an insight into the joys – and challenges – of a ‘no typical’ day as a zoo vet!
This talk will start at 2pm with plenty of time for questions at the end, with a finishing time of 3.30pm.
