In another of the very popular and sought-after film screenings with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, John Williams’ music for the big screen is once again in the spotlight. After Star Wars and ET – The Extraterrestrial, Anthony Gabriele conducts the Gulbenkian Orchestra performing live the soundtrack to Jurassic Park, the adventure film that Steven Spielberg released in 1993 and which is now a classic of entertainment cinema. Whereas the film raises questions about the ethical limits of science, the music, as always, fills the story with emotion, suspense and grandeur.
