The Jupiter Waterman’s Challenge is a true test of your athleticism and ability to navigate open waters. We plan to have a Fall & Spring Challenge. Watercraft include: Paddleboards, Foilboards, kiteboarders, Wingfoilers, and canoes.Event Window:
November 1st to November 24th
• The race will take place on the first windy weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) during an event window (usually 1 month long). See dates above.
• If there are no contestable conditions by the final Sunday then we will run the event on the next day of wind.
• Start Time
• Yellow light will be given 3 days (72 hours) before the start of the race.
• Green light will be given a minimum of 1 day (24 hours) before the start of the race.
• Start time will be a 2 hour window from green light (e.g. 8am-10am). If the race doesn’t begin within the start window, the race will be rescheduled.
Location:
The race will take place between Ft. Pierce Inlet & Stuart Public Beach ~ 20 Miles
There will be a “short course” between Ft. Pierce and (TBD)
Prizes/Awards:
Top performers in each category, male and female.
Prize/awards at Adventure Sports Jupiter (236 US1 Jupiter, FL)
• Condition requirements- Start will be determined by event officials discretion based on the conditions in consideration with competitor safety. Ideally we’re looking for moderate to strong winds (Northerly or Southerly) with no severe sea state.
• Safety equipment- All competitors required to wear a high visibility race jersey, & CE life jacket.
• Everyone must stay clear of lifeguarded zones and restricted areas including piers. Anyone caught going through a lifeguarded zone will not be welcome back.
