About this Event
Spend time with friends, family, and your parks' community! Join us Saturday, January 18th as we install native riparian plant species in Junipero Serra park.
The work site is mostly level with parking, restrooms, and picnic tables nearby. We will provide gloves, tools, and direction for the morning.
We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend that you bring a personal water bottle for each member of your group. Sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold! If weather conditions are deemed too extreme, this event may be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.
If signing up as a family or a group, please adjust the number of volunteer sign-ups according to the number of volunteers in your party. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
A reminder email with more detailed instructions on the day's activities and where to meet will also be sent in advance of the event. We look forward to seeing you in the parks!
