Before Europeans, porcupine quills and beads made from bone, wood, and stone to decorate clothing. Looms were introduced and drastically changed how the native people decorated their bags and clothing. Come make your own loom with natural materials and learn how to decorate your own clothing.

Join us at the park for our free, hands-on Junior Ranger programs to learn about topics important to the ecological and cultural history of the buffalo jump. These programs are open to all ages but are formatted for children 6-12 years old. A guardian must accompany the child for the entire program. Programs will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM each Thursday, June 17-August 19.
Attend two programs to take the junior ranger pledge and receive a badge, five programs to be entered in a drawing for a Montana State Parks backpack plus a free kite kit, and 7 programs to secure an invitation to the Junior Ranger Campout at the end of August. Come to all ten programs to be double entered for the Montana State Parks backpack!
