Ages 7–12 are invited to explore the native ecosystem with local experts, conduct nature experiments and enjoy hands-on outdoor activities while making new friends. Each class focuses on a different part of the natural world, helping young naturalists build curiosity, skills and an appreciation for their surroundings.Classes will be held Sunday, Feb. 22, March 29, and April 26 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Gary Halter Nature Center.
Participants should dress for the outdoors and wear closed-toe shoes. In extreme temperatures or inclement weather, activities will move indoors.
The cost is $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents.
