About this Event
Our programs are hands on, fun, silly, educational and memorable and we make it valuable for both children & adults! You are guaranteed to learn a LOT, have a few laughs, and leave Honeybee Centre ready to bee a Bee Hero!
All ages over 6 years are welcome for this program!
*This program is registered per person (like going to a movie). Each person (both children and adults), are required to pay to join in this classroom and apiary experience. You are welcome to drop off children to participate on their own and will be required to fill in a sign out sheet when you arrive.
J UNIOR BEEKEEPER
Learn about why we need beekeepers! Guests start with a classroom lesson then join Beekeeper Cassie in the courtyard to open up a working hive, help with a hive inspection, smoke the bees, look for the queen and taste honey from the frame!
During this session we will be opening up a working beehive.
We do NOT recommend bringing children under 6 years.
Who should pay?
- All people attending this experience are required to pay. This includes all adults and all children (any age). We DO NOT recommend bringing children under 6 years. We suggest our Open Classroom program for children & toddlers.
Getting Ready:
PLEASE WEAR long pants, long socks & closed toe shoes. We will provide beekeeping JACKETS for participants.
