This is an in person training opportunity for those wanting to volunteer for Junior Achievement. The training will be in the GTE cafeteria on 2/3 at 8am. Junior Achievement teaches students about entrepreneurship, personal finance, and workforce readiness. Parent volunteers have an opportunity to share their personal and work experiences and bring real-world relevance into the classroom.
What do I need to know about volunteering?
Each JA topic consists of 5 sessions that will take around 45 minutes each to facilitate. All materials are available in the school's workroom.This is an example training video of what the first session in JA Ourselves (kindergarten) looks like. What is my time commitment?
Training (60 minutes), Preparation at Home (20-60 minutes), Facilitating the Lesson (5 sessions, 30-45 minutes)
How does the scheduling work?
You will be connected with a teacher and you to work directly with them on dates/times that work for the both of you.
