About this Event
ALPFAmilia! We are excited to bring back Junior Achievement in a Day! In collaboration with Junior Achievement (JA), is asking for your support by volunteering alongside our professional and student chapter members. Join us and achieve something truly impactful for our community, while connecting and working with fellow ALPFA members.
Using JA prepared curriculum, you will be paired with another ALPFA member (students and professionals) to deliver a daylong lesson to one elementary class (K-7) utilizing instructional classroom kits, hands-on activities and your experience and knowledge to illustrate concepts so they are relevant and meaningful to the students.
Volunteer Commitment -
1. One hour training session via conference call led by a JA representative - Meeting to be sent after signing up
2. About two to three hours of prep time to review materials for the lessons you are teaching
3. Materials will be provided to you prior to event
4. Half day of volunteering in school (approximately from 8:30am to 12:30pm) We are looking forward to seeing you at the event!
