The Juniata College Orchestra, under the direction of Julie Renne, will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. Juniata College Orchestra members include students Elizabeth Bertolet ’28, Ava Cook ’27, Lily Corral-Galvan ’28, Elisabeth Cox ’25, Braiden Dolan ’27, Hutson Hendrix ’28, Wyatt Jensen ’27, Erin Leland ’27, Aidan McGovern ’25, Em Perago ’26, Kyleigh Pearsall ’28, Anisa Ray ’27, Abi Scheinberg ’27, Rebecca VanSteenacker ’25, and Katie Wagoner ’28, and community members, Janet Berlin, Everett Cahill, Aaron Decker, Melanie Fisher, Leigh Hurtz, John Kovalchik, Cheryl Latten, James Latten, Katherine Nugent, Emma Pyle-Lewis, Evelyn Renne, and Freya Spigelmeyer.
The program will feature an engaging repertoire including the finale of Symphony No. 15 in G Major, K.124 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, arranged by Sandra Dackow; “Canyon Sunset” by John Caponegro; “Fiddle-me-oo-re-i-re-a” (Working on the Railway), an Irish Folk Song arranged by Virginia Croft; “A Holst Christmas,” arranged by Douglas E. Wagner; “Habanera” (from Bizet’s opera, Carmen), arranged by Richard Meyer; and the jazz standard “Take Five” by Paul Desmond, arranged by Bob Cerulli.
