The Juniata College Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jordan Canner, will perform at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20. The concert will take place in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. Juniata College Jazz Ensemble members include students Benjamin Allen ’25, Austin Clees ’27, Ethan Dennis ’27, Frank Dorman ’25, Logan Eggleston ’27, Ashton Jobes ’28, Brianna Johnson ’27, Aaliyah McGee ’28, Theo McWilliams ’27, Ace Oshall ’28, Simon Ramsey ’27, Jackson Sharpe ’27, Jalen Steiner ’25, Katie Troxell ’27, Dom Watt ’28, Aaliyah White ’28, and Andrew Williams ’26, and community members, Mike Bliss and Lyle Long.
The Jazz Ensemble will perform “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be,” by Mercer Ellington and Ted Persons, arranged by Dave Lalama; “Mambo Over The Mountain,” by Rick Hirsch; “Jada,” arranged by Oliver Nelson; “Brass Machine,” by Mark Taylor;
“Willow Weep For Me,” by Ann Ronnell, arranged by Kris Berg (featuring Theo McWilliams’ 27); “Satin Doll,” by Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, and Johnny Mercer, arranged by Sammy Nestico; and “Arnge Drank (Orange Juice With An Attitude!),” by Paul Baker.
