Juneteenth Author Showcase

Organized in partnership with trainer Cherish McMillan-Kilgoe, a celebrate Black authors from Maryland’s Washington, Garrett, Allegany, Frederick, and Montgomery counties. Books will be for sale (no vendor fees or commissions paid). The afternoon is designed to reflect on the progress made since a time when reading and writing were punishable acts for enslaved African people.
