Free! New members are welcome!
Youth Birding Club is open to children aged 7-13 and their parents (or grandparents) interested in birds and birding—no experience necessary.
In June, we will be birding at Exploration Green (Phase 1). Please meet at the Exploration Green parking lot on the corner of Diana Lane and Reseda Drive at 9 am. We will have binoculars for those who need them.
Wear closed toed shoes. We also highly recommend wearing long pants, a long sleeved shirt, sunhat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
Bring binoculars and a birding book if you have them. Don't worry if you don't have these items or even if you have never been birding before - we have good quality binoculars to share and are delighted to welcome beginners.
Make sure that you bring water to drink and a snack if you wish.
This opportunity is organized with the help of volunteers from the Galveston Bay Area Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists.
COVID-19 community standards for health and safety are a shared responsibility. If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, stay home. Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
