P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome journalist, podcaster, & editor June Thomas for a discussion of her newest book, A Place of Our Own: Six Spaces That Shaped Queer Women's Culture — at once a love letter, a time capsule, & a bridge between generations of queer women, bringing the history & timeless present of the lesbian community to vivid life — along with an audience Q&A and book signing!
June will be joined in conversation with Amelia Possanza, critically acclaimed author of Lesbian Love Story. After the talk, June will sign copies of her book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
is a journalist and the cohost of Slate’s "Working" podcast. Thomas was formerly senior managing producer of Slate podcasts and was the founding editor of Outward, Slate’s LGBTQ section. Her work has appeared in outlets including Bloomberg Businessweek, Marie Claire, the New York Times’ T magazine, and the Advocate. After forty years in America, Thomas now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR
A full-time book publicist and part-time writer, currently lives in Brooklyn with her cat. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, BuzzFeed, Electric Literature, the Millions, and NPR’s Invisibilia. is her first book.
