About this Event
June Swoon (@june.swoon)
June Swoon twists and turns through garage post-punk, experimental folk, and country pop, rooted deeply in modern Americana and driven forward by nuanced storytelling and powerful vocals. L.A. locals Juli Lydell and her band (Josh Alberg, Clay Smith, C.J. Ballesteros) bring stage antics and emotional catharsis to every show. June Swoon’s second studio album is expected in late 2022. “Talented vocal work full of personality over a rhythmic instrumentation with infectious guitar lines, compelling distortion and heartfelt lyricism” (Velvety)
GUPPY (@guppytheband)
Guppy is an east coast born, LA-raised indie punk group, recognizable for their driving rhythms and catchy melodies. With a mix of dry humor and sentimentality pervading their lyrics, Guppy leaves you wondering if you should laugh, cry, or shake your ass. If you’re lucky enough to catch one of their electric live shows then you’ll likely find a crowd of people doing all three.
Surprise Baby (@surprisebabymusic)
Surprise Baby is cowboy rock and roll meets polyrhythmic pop. Band leader and songwriter Sarsten Noice is influenced by Gorillaz, Atoms for Peace, Big Thief, and Amen Dunes. She’s joined by Gabi Wurzel (drums), Alex Noice (guitar) and Marcus Buser (bass). Some of the magic behind Surprise Baby’s music comes from a commitment to vulnerability, self-reflection, and experimentation. Surprise Baby's debut EP, "TOO RIGHT," is set to drop fall of 2022.
