About this Event
Saprea is hosting free community events throughout June to prevent child abuse! This prevention workshop incorporate radKIDS trainings alongside our Saprea community education classes. Kids come enjoy a radKIDS class as parents take a Saprea prevention class at the same time.
Classes will be held every Thursday in June, so mark you calendars for June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th.
Your kids will join Saprea clinician Kelli Murray, MSW, LCSW as she teaches five, one-hour radKIDS class. Over these five classes, kids learn that they are in charge of their bodies and have the power to say no and resist unwanted touch, including abuse and abduction. The class focuses on helping kids know that these tools are not for hurting but empower them to use their voice and, if needed, use physical skills to get away to a safe adult they can talk to for help.
At the same time, parents will join Saprea's community outreach team for child sexual abuse prevention classes. Parents will learn how to assess risky situation, teach healthy sexuality, explain consent, and more!
We hope you'll join us and invite your friends!
