We are excited to announce that Dr. Nick Famoso, the paleontology program manager and curator at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, will be our speaker for our June meeting. He will talk about his recent paper describing how electron microscopy was used to identify fossilized grasshopper egg casings from John Day. https://www.opb.org/article/2024/01/22/think-out-loud-first-known-fossil-grasshopper-eggs-discovered-eastern-oregon/
Everyone is welcome to join us! We will hear from Nick, then we will have show-and-tell by members and guests. Bring fossils for identification and discussion.
