Seeking an enriching way to spend your June School holidays? Join us over at ComXnaut Studio for our special June Holiday Workshop in Manga and Comics Making! This course is designed to provide a fun-filled and immersive experience for young learners aged 10 and up interested in creating their own comic and manga stories and illustrations!
Our Manga and Comics Making Workshop aims to provide our learners the skillset needed to explore the medium of visual storytelling not commonly covered in most art courses, alongside the opportunity to express their unique form of art and writing! Cultivate your creative potential and open up new skills over at our conducive studio space over at Goodman Arts Centre!
Spread across a period of 10 2-hour long sessions, learners will be introduced to a variety of art techniques, from Sketching, Inking, Digital Colouring, and even story-writing skills! Have the opportunity to experiment with our on-site lesson and art materials under the watchful guidance of our studio's experienced art professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to have their works featured in our upcoming anthology book set to be published for Singapore Comic Con 2023!

Writing a story is a complex process, for it takes great passion and knowledge to create a manga or comic. We believe nonetheless that everyone has that innate ability to tell a tale.

Date: starts from 1st June 2023 onwards till 31st July 2023
Time: Choose from 10 am to 12 pm | 1 pm - 3 pm | 3 pm to 5 pm

Course Content:
- Full Character Anatomy, including facial expressions, character design, and basic posing
- Introduction to Basic Background and Perspective Drawing
- Introduction to Inking and Line Art (Traditional/ Digital mediums)
- Introduction to Digital Colouring (Digital medium only)
- Story-writing and Understanding the Narrative Structures in Manga and Comics
- Introduction to Lettering and Dialogue (Digital medium only)
*Learners are free to choose if they wish to learn using the traditional or digital medium manga and comics creation, up till colouring and lettering which will be conducted digitally only.
Course Objectives:
- Create and develop your story's characters with either traditional/ digital mediums
- (Black and white for Manga, coloured for Comics)
- Create manga/ comic pages (from 4 - 8 pages) using your characters, backgrounds, and stories!
