Join us for Silent Book Club where readers gather for low key socializing and quiet reading in a comfy location with cozy vibes. This month we'll be meeting in Grant Park. Feel free to bring own own lawn chair, picnic blanket, and/or snacks. No alcoholic beverages in the park please.In case of inclement weather, we will announce a back up location so stay tuned for any updates.
There's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook, but if you need recommendations you can ask the group or a librarian. We'll meet each month either at the library or local business, socialize and share, then settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. Bring whatever makes you comfortable - pillows, blankets, fidgets, headphones, etc. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize, keep reading, enjoy live music, or head out.
If you're an audiobook listener, we ask that you wear headphones or earbuds. If you'd like to bring something to do with your hands while you listen, that's ok too.
