WA-BLOC’s Freedom Schools Program is a five-week, high impact summer learning program provided free ofcost to K-8th grade students in Southeast Seattle. Freedom Schools centers joy, culturally reflective curriculum
and instruction, social action, and positive identify formation. WA-BLOC has been facilitating this summer
program since 2016 with over 750 students and families served.
Here is a list of the items that we are collecting this month for this amazing WA-BLOC program. They need
these items for their summer education program for elementary children.
• Sand timers (min 10)
• Batteries (AA, AAA, D) (max 5 packs)
• Coloring books (min 20)
• Reusable ice packs (minimum of 10)
• First aid kits (min 2)
• Scissors (regular) (5 pairs)
• Scissors (child-safe) (30 pairs)
• Stickers (10 sheets)
• Construction paper (10 packs)
• Notebooks (30)
• Dry erase markers (2 packs)
• Hand sanitizer (7 large bottles)
• Lysol wipes (5 containers)
• Kleenex (6 boxes)
• Watercolor paint (30 sets)
• Watercolor paper (4 packs)
• Paintbrushes (30)
• Tape (scotch and masking) (4 rolls)
• New or gently used games (board games, card games, recess equipment) (any number)
Please bring all donations by June 30th or drop them off at the office anytime this month. You can also
make donations at magnoliaucc.org/donate and choose WABLOC Special Offering, or you can write a check to
MUCC and note WABLOC in the memo. Thank you to all for collecting and donating supplies for this
wonderful organization!
