The seminar will provide an overview of partnership formation issues, including a review of IRC Sections 721, 722 and 723 related to formation. The seminar will also cover the basics of IRC Section 704(b), including revaluation issues and the creation of partnership books for tax reporting purposes. The analysis of IRC Section 704(b) will also provide an overview of reporting issues when a new partner joins the partnership, or an old partner departs the partnership. The seminar will also cover general tax reporting requirements.
