About this Event
Our annual Go Kart evening is such a fun event and is our most popular, one where we get to take to the skies for a short flight to Leicester and then battle it out on the track in an endurance race against fellow Take Flight members!
Leaving Take Flight at 5pm we’ll head to Leicester Aerodrome which is a lovely 30-40 minute flight, then it’s just a short walk to the Go Karting track where we’ll be split into teams and go head to head in the Take Flight Aviation Grand Prix!
As well as the trophy the winning team will get a bottle of Fizz!
After we have battled it out on the track we will be flying back to Take Flight HQ for a trip to local pub, The Faulkland Arms or for a curry in Chipping Norton, whichever takers prefer.
Our fly-outs are a fantastic opportunity to meet and mingle with Take Flight members, this is the best way to meet fellow pilots who wish to buddy up on fly outs or share local flights to build confidence and hours. Partner up with a member and get more from your PPL.
This is a popular event so please book your aircraft, first come, first serve basis.

Cost Aircraft hire, landing fee £12-£18 paid directly to Leicester, Karting £39 per head paid on the day. A £10 deposit is required to book this event! *Please note Balaclavas and Gloves are needed, you can bring your own or purchase at the venue for £3
Please be aware that these events are promoted to Take Flight Aviation Pilot and Student Members. Non-members are able to register and express interest in joining our events but places are not guaranteed. If you are not a member of Take Flight Aviation please contact [email protected] once you’ve registered for a ticket to apply for a space and receive more information. All Fly Outs will depart from Enstone Airfield.
Aircraft Hire Costs start at £179 Per Hour (Cessna 152 2 seat aircraft) for which there will be a cost share per person.
