Jumpp are a 4-piece band and the best thing to come out of Droylsden since Howard from Take That!
Formed during lockdown when Mike, craving attention, started posting drum covers on Facebook. This somehow led to suggestions of a duet with Paul G (lead guitar).
At first dubious about Paul’s musical ability, Mike was humbled by the face-melting Alice In Chains solo Paul delivered on their first collaboration.
This performance was witnessed by Paul B (bass), a former bandmate of Mike’s, and just like that the framework for a band was born.
All that was missing were vocals. Enter Joe (guitar & vocals). As Mike’s older brother, Joe obviously couldn’t let him have anything to himself and bullied his way in. It is still occasionally relayed to Joe that Jumpp is Mike's band.
Since then, the band has consistently underwhelmed audiences across Tameside and beyond. The shining light among an otherwise mediocre offer is the setlist: iconic crowd-pleasers from the 60s through to the 10s, packed with tunes that hit right in the nostalgias.
