The music revue show will feature Martin Stephenson (with Rupert Hughes) , Rob Heron (Tea Pad Orc) Errant Moose & Shipcote (Shipcote & Friends)The local born/Highlands based singer-songwriter Martin Stephenson, has been playing the J’Hot club since it first opened its doors. Martin was recently featured on Billy Connolly’s BBC documentary, as Billy is a huge fan. Martin’s songs are a glorious mix of the music we love: folk, country, jazz & heartfelt pop His playful humour and warm self-deprecation make this artist even more special. He will be accompanied by the highly acclaimed guitarist Rupert Hughes
Rob Heron ( & His Tea Pad Orchestra ) have been playing the Jumpin Hot club for over a decade or so. His very own dazzling songs and music are inspired from bygone years, well before he was even born. Western Swing, Blues, Rock & Roll, Cajun, Soul, all done excitingly Heron in his unique easy retro style.
Errant Moose are Phillipa & Phoebe. A relatively new & exciting acoustic duo (fiddle/guitar) They are old time & bluegrass enthusiasts from the two Shields (North & South) & it’s the great new bluegrass sound with a Newcastle slant.
And finally Shipcote ( Shipcote & Friends) will play a few tunes ( & bring our recently published Jumpin Hot book ) & help out with whatever else is needed. .
