About this Event
Come write, sip, and connect with others in a prompt-based creative writing workshop at Wine and Corks in downtown Orlando. Enjoy complimentary wine tasting and curated cheese board.All creatives welcome. No writing experience necessary. *Sharing what you ✍ is optional. What to Expect:1. We begin with "Hellos and Haiku" - You'll introduce yourself and share what we're sipping on for the night. Then you will write a quick 3-line poem called a haiku. (Don't worry; I'll help you.) 2. You'll be led through a series of themed writing prompts that are sure to get your creative juices flowing.3. We take breaks to sip and share, but sharing what you write is always optional. 4. You'll get to sample a few new wines.The best part: You will leave with a few new pieces of your own writing that may surprise you, inspire you, or make you smile. You'll also walk away with a few new friends after our time together.This workshop is for you if you can answer yes to any of the following:A. You are creative or want to be more creativeB. You like wine or you like writing or you like bothC. You want share and/or connect with new peopleHope to see you there!

Yolande Clark-Jackson is the host and creator of Wine Down and Write. Yolande is the author of the award-winning children's book, Rocko's Big Launch. She holds a MFA in creative writing and has published her non-fiction writing in HuffPost, Mashable, AARP’s Sisters Newsletter, Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Write Life, and Miami Legacy Magazine.

She created Wine Down and Write to provide an intimate and relaxing space for people to connect with words and one another beyond social networking platforms.
