Don't miss July's Wetland Wander with Diane Steeck who is an Ecologist with the City of Eugene Parks and Open Space Division, where she has worked for 16 years on wetland restoration, enhancement and management of Eugene’s natural areas. Join us as we learn about the population of Great Copper butterflies, meadowlarks, northwestern pond turtles and plants found at Dragonfly Bend. Dragonfly Bend is a 77 acre property that was restored as part of a wetland mitigation bank (the prairie) and an OWEB grant (that section of Amazon Creek) from about 2004-2011, and is now in maintenance mode.
This site has no structured or mowed paths, so we will walk about a mile on uneven ground surface. No dogs.
Parking at Checkermallow Access: 5790 Royal Ave, Eugene, OR 97402
