Our babywearing mornings are suitable for anyone who is interested in slings and carriers. We meet in the community rooms above Tesco in Knocknacarra (old Joyces). Don't go into the shopping centre itself-- if you are facing the front door of the shopping centre go left, go around the corner and you'll find the door to the community rooms about half way down. The Eircode for the shopping centre is H91 Y72R.If you are planning to come to the sling meeting, please read all the information below! Please note we can no longer accept any cash.
You can expect:
- an informal chat and cuppa with friendly people who have similar interests
- a range of slings and carriers to try out in an informal setting
- monthly rentals from our sling library
- an exchange with other sling/carrier users about experiences using them
- informal demonstrations of some slings/carriers
VENUE: Knocknacarra Community Rooms above Tesco in Knocknacarra (the old Joyces) (entrance around the door from the dentist, near the bottle recycling).
Time: 11.00 to 12.30
Sling Demonstration starts at 11.15am
Fees -- please note, all costs need to be paid by card; we can no longer accept any cash.
Entrance: €5 entry fee per family (this is included in sling rental fee if you decide to rent)
Sling Hire Fee: €15 for 1 sling, €25 for 2 slings for 1 month (these fees include your entry fee of €5)

What is a sling meet?
The sling meeting is run by volunteers. We will do a demonstration of some of the 5 main types of slings (stretchy wrap, woven wrap, ring sling, meh dai and soft structured carriers). You can try on our slings and carriers and then hire for 1 month to try yourself at home. The group is a peer support group and everyone is there to help each other.

Do I need to book in?
No, just arrive along on the day. It is helpful if you click "going" on the event page so we can keep track of numbers.
What time is the sling demonstration? Please be there by 11.15am to see the sling demonstration especially if you're unsure of what you'd like to hire or how to use the slings.
I have my own sling, can someone help me with it?
Yes, feel free to bring along your own sling and one of our peer supporters or even another sling user in attendance will have a look and see if we can help.

What if I can't make the next sling meet to return the slings?
You can get in touch in advance of the sling meet to arrange to post them back to me (they must be returned prior to the sling meet). Late returns are subject to a late fee, see our T&C
