On 21 November 2025, Sydney/Warrang folk-rock band July Morning will be headlining a show at the Sneaky Possum Bar in Chippendale to celebrate the release of their brand new single, ‘Force of Nature’. Written by lead guitarist Owain Roberts, the song is about a person’s internal and external battles and the back and forth that occurs when trying to overcome them.‘Force of Nature’ starts with fuzz-drenched bass, drums, and vocals and continues to build into the first chorus when the rest of the band enters. The song then crashes into the bridge when whispered, unintelligible voices, add to a growing sense of unease to complement the song’s themes. ‘Force of Nature’ triumphantly builds into the climactic final chorus with dense and layered guitars, creating a wall of sound for the impassioned vocals to weave through and above.
Engineered and mixed by Nathaniel Sjarif (Middle Kids, Birds of Tokyo) ‘Force of Nature’ is the follow up to July Morning’s critically acclaimed singles, ‘Upper Hand’, and ‘Beacon’.
July Morning will be joined by Sydney acts Casual Affair and Michael J Brady at the ‘Force of Nature’ single launch on 21 November.
Casual Affair is a high-energy blues-rock band based in Sydney. With a strong blend of musicianship, soulful vocals and easy listening grooves. They deliver an experience for all to enjoy.
Michael J Brady is a chameleon traversing a landscape of jangling strings, volume swells, and raw vocals. In this world, he shares diary entries and old conversations to find warmth in the cold of growing. His music distills these elements into moments of vivid storytelling, and a space to listen.
