It's the depths of winter and our gardens and foraging spaces are sleeping, but there's still plenty of reasons to gather together. Maybe you have some winter greens, or a laden lemon tree, but we can also share our seed collections, preserves, and baking - and talk about what we are planning for our garden in the coming spring! It will be great to catch up even if the pile on the table is small. We'll be inside in the warm unless it's a sunny winter's morning - so if you don't see us in the usual spot we'll be in one of the classrooms.
Crop Swap brings together backyard gardeners, home bakers, and food foragers to swap and share high-quality local food regularly.
July's Ōtautahi Christchurch Crop Swap will be at the Phillipstown Hub as usual, on Saturday 13th at 10.30am. We'd love to see your surplus produce, responsibly foraged goodies, seeds, seedlings, cuttings, and your own baking/preserves (no fungi or live animals, thanks).
Spread the word, and see you there!
Hannah and Jo.
PS. If you haven’t heard about Crop Swaps, there’s a website all about them here: https://www.cropswap.co.nz
