Good evening all. As you know, the Club uses the summer months for educational purposes. July will focus on Safety, August will focus on Tying, and September will focus on Casting.The reason for choosing Safety for the July meeting was made for several reasons. We have a lot of new members, and members who could benefit from a refresher on Safety. Attached is a detailed document from FFI, that I find very informative, and beneficial. More and more of us are having issues while outdoors, and I personally have had my fair share!!
We have used this format before at a club meeting, and it was well received. This meeting will be a combination of two speakers, and then some breakout groups. Ryan Husted, a Warning Coordinator Meteorologist, WCM, with the National Weather Service, will kick off the meeting with a Spotter Talk, designed especially for the outdoor enthusiast. Liz Davis will then be covering First Aid and how to be better prepared.
Then we will hear about these topics covered experienced members.
