The Morro Bay National Estuary Program is hosting a beach cleanup after the Fourth of July! Major summer holidays bring the most litter to our beaches and waterways. Join MBNEP staff and community members to pick up litter and debris around Morro Rock.
Where: Morro Rock Parking Lot and beach area, just north of the Morro Rock parking lot. Look for MBNEP staff and our tent.
What you'll need:
- Wear closed-toed shoes that will be comfortable to wear on sand
- Sun protection/sunscreen
- Water bottle (we will have water jugs to refill your bottle if needed!)
- Optional: bring your own reusable gloves and PPE (i.e. masks)
What we will provide:
- Water
- Trash grabbers, bags, and buckets
- Disposable gloves
Registration is not required, but it is appreciated so we know how many people to plan for. Thank you for helping us keep Morro Bay and our watershed clean!
