July 31st Pottery Snowman,This two hour workshop we will construct a snowman. We will be making all the snowman accessories. Please bring your creativity. Carrots, hats, buttons, hats with ribbons or holly, Santa hats are all ideas we can work from. After we construct the snowman, we will add color. Using underglazes to paint on raw clay. This class is lots of fun. We will make two snowmen. One small one to warm up and a larger one. The small one is approx. 3 inches and the large is about 6 inches.
The snowman will dry and be fired. Finally it will be dipped in clear glaze and fired again.
The firing process will take no less than two weeks.
I will meet you at the SHORE MARKETPLACE the day of the class. Please bring a drink if you will need one and wear clothes you can get slightly dirty. We will be working with red clay so it will not be too dirty.
