Sarah Baquet currently serves as Engagement Coordinator for Catholic Charities of Acadiana where she considers it a privilege to educate and invite our larger community to join in CCA's critical work providing essential aid in the community to those experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty.Of their many social service, CCA's three emergency shelters in Lafayette include the St. Josephs Shelter for Men, the St. Michael Center for Veterans, and the newly opened "The Emily House" which serves women and families.
A 2000 graduate of Franciscan University Steubenville in Theology with a concentration in Religious Education, Sarah served several years in foreign missions fields among the indigenous peoples of Latin America and Mexico, and she also served domestically among northern Ohio’s immigrant community prior to joining the team at CCA.
Her theological background and lived experiences of Catholic Social Doctrine inspire her to continue seeking closer adherence to the Gospel in her own life and encouraging others to the same.
Devoted wife and mother of four, passionate about loving God and loving others, Sarah previously worked in an educational capacity as both a Catholic School teacher and a homeschooling mother.
