ABOUT THE AUTHOR

is the author of the novel , which was a finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize and shortlisted for the Yasnaya Polyana Literary Award, Russia’s largest annual prize in literature. has been published around the world and is being adapted into a series. Kim is a graduate of Princeton University. Her writing has been published in Granta, the Times Literary Supplement, the Independent, Zyzzyva, Guernica, and other outlets. Born in Korea and raised in Portland, Oregon, Kim now lives in London.

A cofounder of Ditmas Lit (Brooklyn, NY) and The Dream Away Reading Series (Becket, MA), and a creative writing instructor for institutions including Bennington College, Rachel has been appointed the 2024 Paris Writer in Residence by the Paris School of Arts and Culture, the American University of Paris, and the Centre Culturel Irlandais. She lives with her husband and two young children in Western Massachusetts.
