Wire jewellery workshop with wirework Artist Judith Brown.Create your own unique piece of handmade jewellery using just wire, pliers, your hands and wrapping techniques. Adding glass beads for colour and texture, you’ll experiment with copper wire and the stitching and wrapping techniques I’ll teach you to create different effects, finally bringing all your work together to make your own necklace, which we’ll oxidise to create the charcoal grey finish I use in much of my jewellery. Your necklace can be long or short, as you choose, with matching earrings too if time allows. Equipment and materials will be provided, you are welcome to bring any beads that you might want to incorporate into your piece.
