About this Event
JPI Drone: Safe and Legal is designed for individuals interested in learning how to fly consumer drones safely and legally. The class is divided into three sessions with an opportunity to fly a drone at a nearby location - depending on the weather.
You only need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and all your questions. You do not need to own a drone for the course.
- The first session begins Tuesday, April 18th at 5 PM
- The second session begins Thursday, April 20th at 5 PM
- The third session begins Saturday, April 22nd at 10:30 AM.
About the Instructor: Wade L. Collier holds a Part 107 FAA UAS Certificate and has been flying drones since 2017. He is a nature photographer with over 30 years of experience and has taught photography classes in the US and abroad. He has photographs in scientific journals and the lay press and has been a Maire Selby Gardens Volunteer Photographer since 2011.
Each participant is responsible for their safety and properly operating their photographic equipment. Event hosts and instructors are exempt from all liability or responsibility whatsoever for all personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, however caused, including but not limited to property liability or the negligence of the released parties, whether passive or active. Each participant must use their judgment regarding safety.
