Show starts at 5:30 and continues until sunset, around 8ish
*Pricing*
Suggested donation: $20
$10 for students/seniors/underemployed
FREE for volunteers! Please message us (or me, Liz) if you would be willing to work the door for half an hour, and let us know if you have any preferences vis-a-vis when (early, late, etc.).
All donations go toward mission-critical expenses, and our mission is as always “swing dancing… in the Jamaica Plain area, honoring the roots of the art form in pre-WWII Harlem, and influenced by nature, especially the sunset over Jamaica Pond as seen from the boathouse pavilion”.
We can only accept payment by cash or Venmo.
*Getting there*
There is a lot at the corner of Spring Park and Centre that is free on Sundays. You may be able to find street parking closer by.
If you bike, you can avoid all the stress and bad vibes of driving and enjoy the emerald necklace. And get exercise and fresh air and save the planet too! Just remember your bike lights!
The closest T station is Green Street, which is a bit of a walk, but a pleasant one, and you can catch a bit of downtown JP on the way.
