JP Cooper annoncerer europæisk headline tour med show i Store VEGA lørdag 5. november.
Efter en lang periode med nedlukninger i live industrien er den britiske soulsanger/ sangskriver JP Cooper glad for at kunne annoncere sin første europæiske headline tour i mere end tre år. Han vil turnere rundt i Europa i forbindelse med udgivelsen af sit nye og længe ventede album ’SHE’.
JP Cooper udtaler om touren: “I decided a while ago that because of the pandemic, and all the struggle and separation that everyone has experienced during the last 2 years, I wanted to go back to more grassroots venues on my next tour, back to the kind of places I played when I was coming through. Firstly, to show some love to the venues themselves; they play such an important role in artists’ early careers and a lot of them have struggled to stay afloat during this period.
Secondly, I wanted to play these smaller rooms again to make it easier to connect with you guys and for you to connect with me. We’ve spent so much time apart that it’s going to be amazing to be up close and personal once again. The shows will be more intimate and stripped back, which will give us the opportunity to properly re-connect.
I’m so excited to be coming out with some of my favourite musicians, some of whom have been with me for years, and to re-create that feeling we used to have when I did the open mic nights and small venue circuits around the UK. Keep your eyes out for the dates, on this tour, I want to shift the focus to the fans more than ever before, I cannot wait to get out and see you all. I’ve also changed my approach to international touring, I’ve decided to focus on one country at a time where possible. I want to be able to spend a bit more time in each country and take the time to enjoy what it has to offer without feeling like we need to rush off to the next destination. Keep an eye on my socials over the coming months where we will be putting out requests for information on things we should see and activities that we can do in each country and offering fans the opportunity to accompany us on our days off!”
Annonceringen af Coopers headline tour lander i kølvandet på hans helt nye album ‘SHE’, som udkom 18. februar 2022 via Island Records. ’SHE’ er en samling sange der hylder nogle af de vigtigste kvinder i JP Coopers liv med tematikker der omfavner forhold, tro og familieliv. Sangeren/ sangskriveren, der er mest kendt for sit hit ’September Song’ og har mere end 750 millioner streams, har også været med til at skrive Jonas Blues megahit ’Perfect Strangers’. Han har solgt mere end 1,2 millioner albums på verdensplan og har opnået over 4,5 milliarder streams totalt.
